Our Congregation is Led by Pastor Kathy Flores-Shubert

Hi, I’m Pastor Kathy Flores-Shubert. My husband Jim (who is a church music director) and I relocated to the glorious Gulf Coast area from the blustery, sub-zero climes of the Chicago suburbs. We love the people of Florida (who all seem to be from somewhere else) and we are enjoying the sunshine. Where else can you get rainbows in your back yard on a daily basis?? Jim and I are newly weds (both of us are widowed). Together we claim seven adult children and eleven grandchildren (ages 18-2).

I am in ministry because I want to get people excited about Jesus! He transforms lives. (He transformed mine!!!) I have served as Associate Pastor, Senior Pastor and Intentional Interim Pastor over the last ten years. Gateway Trinity is my seventh interim experience. There is something downright magical about coming to work in a campus redolent with palm trees and exotic shrubs.
